About Ruby

Life often presents challenges, especially during uncertain times. Ruby firmly believes that each person's unique perspective—shaped by their individual background—plays a significant role in how they navigate these difficulties. She recognizes that understanding and respecting the diversity of each client, along with their specific needs, is essential for creating effective treatment plans.

Ruby's diverse professional experience influences her empathetic and tailored approach to psychotherapy, ensuring that each client feels heard and supported.

Background

Ruby holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (119205) in California. She has undergone training in several areas, including Domestic Violence Prevention, Intensive Grief Support, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART®).

With over 13 years of clinical experience, Ruby has worked across diverse settings, including nonprofit organizations, private practice, and public education. This breadth of experience has afforded her the privilege of serving a wide range of demographics, including monolingual Spanish-speaking clients, members of the LGBTQ+ community, women facing postpartum depression, and survivors of domestic violence.

Ruby is dedicated to delivering compassionate and culturally competent care, which allows her to build meaningful connections with clients as they navigate their unique challenges. She is deeply committed to enhancing local mental health initiatives and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lumina Alliance.
